Hello, my name is Arman. I am an incoming third-year student at UBC majoring in Mathematics and intended Computer Science. Currently, I work at Madison's Lumber Reporter as a Data Research Analyst where I research and update Canadian and US solid wood and pulp & paper producer entries in the company’s directory. Additionally, I am also an Officer at Large at UBC's Computer Science Student Society (CSSS). In my role, I am in charge of helping with department-wide events that bring students together, whether that be for learning or networking events. As an example, in July, I was given an opportunity to teach an introduction to Scratch workshop to young students in elementary. Outside of work and academia, I enjoy playing soccer and going for hikes. I also play the piano and am self-taught in guitar.
