Angela Bee Chan

Hello, my name is Arman. I am an incoming third-year student at UBC majoring in Mathematics and intended Computer Science. Currently, I work at Madison's Lumber Reporter as a Data Research Analyst where I research and update Canadian and US solid wood and pulp & paper producer entries in the company’s directory. Additionally, I am also an Officer at Large at UBC's Computer Science Student Society (CSSS). In my role, I am in charge of helping with department-wide events that bring students together, whether that be for learning or networking events. As an example, in July, I was given an opportunity to teach an introduction to Scratch workshop to young students in elementary. Outside of work and academia, I enjoy playing soccer and going for hikes. I also play the piano and am self-taught in guitar.

Jaden is a frontend developer with Mercurious Marketing. He is an advocate for blockchain tech and defi, winning hackathon awards from the Ethereum Foundation and ETH Toronto. He has worked with various NGOs to design better experiences for underrepresented demographics, and believes in the open-source community.

Spark is an Adobe certified UI/UX Designer and Photographer from Hong Kong. He’s worked with companies like Ritz-Carlton on promotional photos and videos, as well as created cutting edge web experiences for tech startups at his current marketing company, Mercurious.

Kevin Jones is an Artist and Geek-turned-Engineer passionate about technology, teaching others and helping businesses increase their architectural acumen.  As a Senior Product Manager at NGINX Inc, he is responsible for helping clients reach their technology goals by helping them build solutions that solve problems and in turn achieve digital transformation.  When he isn't working you'll find Kevin doing photography, flying his drone and making small films.

Emmanuel is a Computer Science graduate from Ekiti State University, and a certified UI UX Designer from the University of Michigan USA. He's a versatile, proactive, and detailed UX Designer with years of proven end-to-end experience, delivering enjoyable web and mobile products for companies.

Salma is a computer engineering graduate from Concordia University in Montreal. During her third year, Salma developed an interest in teaching and became the lab instructor for two computer engineering courses. She had two internships at CAE and Morgan Stanley where she worked on enterprise technology and software development in various programming languages. Salma gained experience in android development from working on mobile apps in her capstone and mini capstone projects in her undergraduate studies. Salma will be starting her full-time job as a mobile developer in September.

Fatima is a graduate from the University of Waterloo, Canada. Post graduation, she's worked full-time as a Software Developer at DRW, a trading firm and currently works at Yelp as a Software Engineer.
